What is UPS® Worldwide Economy?

UPS® Worldwide Economy is an economy cross-border service designed for low-weight, low-value, non-urgent shipments being sent from the continental U.S. to Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany, and Canada. 

Quick facts about UPS® Worldwide Economy:

  • Time in transit is 5-12 business days for all destinations
  • Ideal for low-weight (up to 4.4 lbs.), low-value cross-border shipments
  • Duties and taxes are paid by the recipient: Delivery Duties Unpaid (DDU)
  • Fewer surcharges, including the elimination of the Disbursement Fee, and Entry Prep fee for Canada
  • Drop-off and pickup options available

How do I ship using UPS® Worldwide Economy?

All you have to do is sign up for EasyPost and set up a UPS shipping account on EasyPost. There are no contracts, fees, or volume minimums to access these services at discounted rates.

If you already have a UPS through EasyPost account, you will need to accept the updated UPS Terms and Conditions to enable UPS® Worldwide Economy.

  1. Log in to your EasyPost account and navigate to Account Settings > Carriers.
  2. Find your UPS through EasyPost account under EasyPost Wallet Carriers.
  3. Accept the updated UPS Technology Agreement and Terms & Conditions.

If you do not, see the steps below to learn exactly how to get started.

  1. Sign up for a free EasyPost account and navigate to Account Settings > Carriers.
  2. Locate the UPS on EasyPost Account under “EasyPost Wallet Carriers” and click the “Create Account” button to the right.
  3. Click on the three dots to the right, select “Edit Account”, and fill in details for all fields under “Account Profile” and “Company Information”.
