Schedule Pickups Right From the EasyPost Dashboard
by EasyPost
One of the toughest parts of shipping for small businesses is making constant trips to the Post Office, especially if you have a lot of packages to juggle. To support businesses, many carriers offer a pickup service, and some even offer it for free!
All you need to do is schedule a time, date, and place, and the carrier will come to your doorstep to get the packages. But even this isn’t a perfect solution. The process and price to schedule a pickup varies from carrier to carrier, making it difficult to get started.
In the past, EasyPost shippers could easily schedule a pickup through our API. Today, we’re expanding that functionality into our dashboard, enabling all users to streamline their shipping process without requiring developer resources.
Access carrier pickups with ease through the EasyPost dashboard
- Schedule a pickup for a new label through the Create Label tool.
- Schedule a pickup for an existing label by providing the Tracking Number or Batch ID.
- Select a date, time, and optional pickup instructions.
- See an estimated cost for your pickup. We recommend checking your Pickups dashboard for the finalized cost, as each carrier is different.
- View all scheduled pickups from the Pickups menu.
- Sort scheduled pickups by carrier, time, number of packages, or pickup location.
- Cancel scheduled pickups from the dashboard at any time.
You can try this feature yourself by navigating to the Pickups page. For more details on how this feature works, see our support article.
What carriers will be supported?
Today, EasyPost supports scheduling pickups with the following carriers through both our dashboard and API:
- Better Trucks
- Canada Post
- Canpar
- DHL Express
- FedEx
- Lasership
- Loomis Express
- LSO
- Ontrac
- UPS

Please note that depending on the carrier account used, the payment for the pickup may be made through the EasyPost Wallet or directly to the carrier. If the pickup is for a shipment created through an EasyPost Carrier Account, it can be paid through the EasyPost Wallet. This could include carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Express, and Canada Post.
