What is USPS Cubic Pricing?

Cubic Pricing is available to high-volume shippers and all EasyPost customers. For shippers who send high volumes of small, heavy packages, it offers deep discounts due to Cubic Pricing’s unique rate calculations.

Cubic Pricing is measured by calculating:

Length x Width x Height / 1728 = Cubic Feet Range.

From that Cubic Feet Range, you figure out which tier you belong to.

  • 0.1: Packages up to 0.1 cubic feet
  • 0.2: Packages between 0.1 and 0.199 cubic feet.
  • 0.3: Packages between 0.2 and 0.299 cubic feet.
  • 0.4: Packages between 0.3 and 0.399 cubic feet.
  • 0.5: Packages between 0.4 and 0.5 cubic feet.

Then, use this zone chart to figure out the pricing that corresponds with your package’s tier. You can also use our Zone Lookup tool to calculate which zones your origin and destination correspond to.
