EasyPost’s Holiday Happenings 2019
by Marco Raye
Shipping is an ever-evolving industry. It continually changes, constantly adapting, and always expanding to fit the needs of the more online consumers and online businesses that ship worldwide every day, especially to prepare for the holiday season. According to Salesforce Commerce Cloud data*, the forecasted U.S. digital revenue growth this holiday season is at 13% year-over-year — and total sales of $136B — from November 1 to December 31. While the world of shipping is hectic during the holiday season, we make time to focus on what makes the holidays truly special, the memories created with the ones you love. Here at EasyPost, our holiday schedule is bursting with good deeds, fun events, holiday happenings that truly make a difference. We want to share our holiday happenings with you in addition to a final reminder of holiday shipping deadline reminders, so your business doesn’t fall behind during the final holiday push.
EasyPost Gives A Ship
“EasyPost Gives A Ship” is a community involvement committee that works to find areas of need in the community and to help make sure that we are doing all we can to help. We work not only to organize events and provide financial contributions to organizations in need, but also to give acts of service to help make a better tomorrow, today.
It is our goal to help the community that has fostered our company and to make a difference that is positive, impactful, and that is savored for years to come. We are not just a shipping and logistics company; we work to create new and viable logistics that are going to help foster and grow a whole new generation of sellers. We want to make a difference, and we are working toward it every day.
What We Are Doing for A better Tomorrow
- November - EasyPost participated in the National Men’s Health campaign by raising money to help donate to the Movember Foundation. We raised over $500 for our donation. Movember is an annual event that involves men growing mustaches during November to help raise awareness for men’s issues such as prostate and testicular cancer, men’s suicide, and even anxiety that men face in silence every day. The movement began in 2003, and the ultimate goal is to help change the face of men’s health and to address men’s issues that many sometimes sweep under the rug or ignore.
- December - EasyPost will be working with the Adopt-A-Family-Holiday Gift-giving program that is hosted by Compass Family Services. It is our goal to provide four families that might not be able to get gifts, meals, or other items on the table this holiday season. The program will help us identify a family in need before providing them with the things they need to make this holiday season one that they will never forget. We are thrilled to make multiple families' holiday season extra special this year. To continue spreading this year’s holiday cheer, EasyPost also celebrated Giving Tuesday by donating 100 newborn baby onesies to every UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Giving Tuesday is an international day of charitable giving at the beginning of the holiday season.
