USPS will be releasing a time-limited price change starting April 26, 2026 to align with the current costs of transportation. Read our quick summary below to learn more about the coming changes.

When will the new rates take effect?

The time-limited price change will be in effect from April 26, 2026 until January 17, 2027. As a reminder, USPS rate activation takes place at midnight Central Time (CT) instead of midnight Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

U.S. domestic shipping rate changes

You can expect to see an 8% increase in retail rates for the following services:

  • Priority Mail Express®
  • Priority Mail®
  • USPS Ground Advantage®
