Teams Are Announced for the 2021 EasyPost Hawai'i Bowl
by EasyPost
The Memphis Tigers and Hawai'i Rainbow Warriors will face off against each other in the EasyPost Hawai'i Bowl on Friday, December 24 on ESPN. Starting at 8 pm ET/3 pm HST, the 6-6 Tigers will take on the 6-7 Rainbow Warriors in the only bowl game to be aired on TV this Christmas Eve. The game will take place at Hawai'i's home field, the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex at the University of Hawai'i at the Mānoa campus.
The Tigers enter the matchup as the seventh-ranked team in the American Athletic Conference. This is the program's 15th bowl game appearance, and the eighth consecutive season the team has received a bowl bid.
The Rainbow Warriors head into their 14th postseason bowl appearance ranked fourth in the Mountain West Conference. They are the current reigning Hawai'i Bowl champions after defeating BYU 38-34 in 2019. This will be their ninth Hawai'i Bowl appearance.
Edward Schrank – a 15-year Marine Corps veteran and 7-time cancer survivor – will lead the stadium in singing the national anthem. Schrank has inspired thousands of people over the years by sharing his story and singing at NFL, MLB, and NASCAR events.
