EasyPost shippers using FedEx or UPS can now access our Carrier-Grade AVS. This lets them select UPS or FedEx with each shipment for address verification, which determines the exact database the AVS will verify with.

Carriers have their own databases and ways in which they store and shorten addresses. For example, one carrier may shorten “Avenue” to “Ave,” and another may not. These inconsistencies can impact deliverability and potentially result in address correction surcharges.
